- Press ON/OFF button to activate
- Hold button down to view last measured temperature
- Digital display will show a test pattern, then will beep
- Orally: Place probe tip under tongue
- Axillary (under arm): Probe tip should be placed under arm so tip is touching skin
- Rectally: Probe tip should be inserted a maximum of 1/2″ into rectum
- When peak temperature has been reached, F (C) will stop flashing and thermometer will beep ten (10) times
- To turn unit off, press ON/OFF button
- Changing the Battery:
- Replace battery with a 392 alkaline or SR41 silver oxide type
- To replace, slide the battery cap away from the unit
- Remove battery using a small Phillips head or jeweler’s screwdriver
- Insert new battery with positive (+) side facing up
- Replace screw and carefully slide battery cap back into place

- The Ear Thermometer will show a test display
- The last memory reading will be displayed
- After the completion of the automatic test, a beep will indicate the temperature
- Unit will power down automatically if left unattended for one [1] minute
- Inserting the Probe into the Ear Canal:
- Put ear slightly backwards
- Insert probe along ear canal in a straight direction
- Insert probe until the body of the probe fully seals the ear canal
- Hold it there until measurement is completed
- Fahrenheit and Celsius Set Up:
- The unit is set in Fahrenheit degree
- To switch to Celsius, take off the mini jump on the connector, located in the battery case {or insert with one pin header).
- Inserting Batteries:
- Ear Thermometer requires 2 ‘AAA’ batteries
- To insert, remove battery cover by sliding it away from probe
- Place batteries in battery compartment, making sure they are positioned correctly according to polarities indicated on ear thermometer
- Replace battery cover by sliding it into place
